BUSINESS CONSULTING…this Wave Of The Future
What is the benefit of a busines consultation in todays world. And shouldn’t consultants be offering more?
It’s surprising that even in 2010 business consultants still haven’t evolved. They continue to ONLY use those tried, and at times tired, techniques involving study, statistics, analysis etc. etc., to offer business owners solutions to business concerns. These guidelines are necessary to a certain extent; and should be the starting point for all business consulting. But there are two CONSIDERABLE ways that consultants are handicapping their services in a modern business world. When they aren’t teaching business owners how to read, target, and trigger their customers emotions (which is the basis for most purchases a consumer makes). And, more importantly, when they dont take the time to perfect their creative thinking which can give them an endless supply of innovative ideas to improve ALL aspects of ANY business (this might sound simplistic, but when you check my site and the business tips I offer…you’ll experience an Ah Hah! moment on the potential of a creative mind.)
My name is Steve Dresel, and I am a very unique business consultant. I have the ability to combine business knowledge with BRILLIANT CREATIVE THINKING, to give business owners original and incredibly effective ways to make the most long-term profits with their business. I set up a site so that I could give people a “true showcase” of the future of business consulting. On it, you will see pages with a variety of ideas for improving a variety of businesses (small and simple along with large and elaborate); all of which took me just one weekend to come up with. I have given you a sample of this below..related to retail Sporting Goods. So take some time, check out the site, and at least entertain yourself with business tips, along with funny and inspirational stories of business success.
Sporting Goods retailers don’t do enough in advertising the sports associated with the equipment they sell; which could, in turn, help these equipment sales. Some display ads for local sporting events. But they should be promoting these with the same effort that they sell their sporting goods (inevitably promoting the sport).Like many retailers, these stores are usually broken up into sections. Here is an idea: try using these areas to thoroughly showcase each sport locally. Place large billboards in each section of the store.Post (and allow others to post) information regarding fundraisers, team trials, matches, games, events, etc., related to each sections sport. This, done right, can do a few things. It will endear you to the locals by being a part of, and promoting, the local community (if successful, people will stop by even during their sports “off season”).And, since these locals are regularly coming to your store for info; there’s more of a chance with them making a purchase out of convenience. Also, it allows you to advertise each sport in a way that doesn’t seem as much of a selling technique, as it does simple passion; in turn, giving your customers a certain trust in the equipment and items you sell.
